Summer Jams

Of course the summer is a great time for new music. Everyone in the streets blasting music at block parties and barbecues, what better time for an artist to drop a new single or album? Three artists making the most of Summer 2010, IMO, are Drake, Wiz Khalifa, and B.o.B.

Drake's highly anticipated album Thank Me Later is currently at #2 on the Billboard top 200 charts (right behind Eminem's Recovery album) almost 5 weeks after it's release date. Wiz Khalifa's mixtape Kush & Orange Juice was released for internet download back in April, but I (and my brother, who put me on to it) am definitely still listening to it daily. Wiz Khalifa was featured in the April issue of XXL as one of their "10 Freshmen of '10". The Adventures of Bobby Ray, B.o.B.'s debut album was also released back in April. It debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts.

My personal favorites on the albums are Light Up (Drake ft. Jay-Z), Up (Wiz Khalifa), and Airplanes Part II (B.o.B. ft. Hayley Williams & Eminem). I also like July (which apparently is Jhene's song, featuring Drake... #kanyeshrug)

DXC June '10

The DXC; formally known as the Dunk Exchange is set to accommodate the wildest styles of rare threads including the humans sporting them. Countless sales, trades, and purchases have been made at these historical events. Promotions may include special guest features that often help increase the publicity and attract a higher more broad crowd as well the more-so expected raffle "give-aways". population of these events may vary from hoarders and collectors to sneakerheads and hypebeasts. For all of those words are concealed in the same tasteless jar of lies and half-truths
If you don't feel beautiful you will NEVER be it
She stops and ponders all the things in the world
What she can do and can't do and can and can't UNdo
Pause. Breathe.
It's overwhelming her mind as her spirit begins to break down beneath the weight of the world
Love
Self-love... Or moreso a lack thereof
Replaced by feigned compassion in hopes of being accepted
False love being given physically
Hoping to repair the emotional damage and fill the gaps and cracks that lie deep in her soul

She waits

That day will come

She will learn one day that beauty is truly in the eyes of the beholder

However, the beholder is not outside of herself

The beholder is the one who stands in the mirror and judges
Harshly, critically, painfully

The beholder is anyone and everyone who can see themselves for better or for worse

She is the beholder

And on that day, in that time she will realize that the weight of the world can only be lifted by one

Berry Blast

The Blackberry movement is one of the most economically stabilizing occurrences that could only be rivaled by the T-Mobile Sidekick series. Even thought it seems to spark great interest in its users the minor flaws are increasing in annoyance, especially BBM Blast or Blackberry Broadcasts. Many Blast are sent in order to inform, while others are chain letters that are sent out to waste your time. There have been countless times that I've thought i gotten an important BBM, while only being deceived by a Blast.
